ADMISSION INTO THE MUSON/MTNF DIPLOMA COURSE IN MUSIC
This is to officially notify the public that admission is now open for the Twenty-first (21st) Cohort of the MUSON/MTNF Diploma School of Music.
THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS / AUDITIONS
The Entrance Examinations/Auditions will take place from Monday, 31st August to Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026.
Written Examination
- Subject: Music Theory and General Knowledge
- Date: Monday, 31st August, 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Practical Audition & Aural Interview
- On-site practical audition and aural interview on a major instrument or voice before a faculty or jury.
- Date: Tuesday, 1st September – Wednesday, 2nd September, 2026
- Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day
Applicants for the MUSON/MTNF Diploma Course in Music should possess the following minimum academic qualifications:
- The General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including the English Language.
OR
- The Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with credits in at least five (5) subjects, including the English Language.
The five (5) credits must have been obtained at not more than two (2) sittings before admission into the Diploma Course.
Music Theory
- Grade Five (5) or higher graded certificate from the MUSON School of Music or any other recognized graded music certificate approved by the MUSON School, such as:
- Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
- Trinity College London (Trinity)
Music Practical
- Grade Five (5) or higher graded certificate from the MUSON School of Music or any other recognized graded music certificate approved by the MUSON School, such as:
- Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
- Trinity College London (Trinity)
- Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
- Only applicants who meet the admission requirements will be shortlisted and notified by Wednesday, 26th August, 2026 for further auditions and interviews.
- An examination number will be allocated to participants, permitting them to take the written examination, practical audition, and interview.
- Successful candidates from the examinations, auditions, and interviews will be offered admission into the Diploma Programme.
